Standing Water by ~mopeydecker called to me from a whole gallery of inspiring paintings... maybe it's the restrained palette with the tiny warm notes, or the whole powerful atmosphere of the pose in its restricted space... the simple yet accomplished water ripples, or the duplicity between distorted and dramatically present.
